Chef Daniel Prak
Chef Daniel Prak's culinary journey is a testament to resilience, innovation, and passion. Born to Cambodian immigrants who survived the genocide and settled in California, Chef Prak's roots in the food industry began with his parents' first business, Dandy Donuts in Bellflower, CA.
While entrepreneurship was always in his blood, it wasn't until later that Chef Prak discovered his true calling in the culinary world. The COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point, igniting his love for cooking and spurring him to launch the Bomb Bachi Truck in Los Angeles in 2020. This food truck, specializing in Japanese-inspired dishes and customizable fried rice, marked the beginning of his culinary career.
From 2019 to 2024, Chef Prak's culinary empire expanded rapidly. He ventured into multiple restaurants and a gourmet donut shop, showcasing his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit. Following the success of his food truck, he sold it to focus on establishing several restaurants in the Henderson area.
Now, Chef Prak brings his culinary expertise to Cloud 9 Tapas and Hookah Lounge. Here, he crafts Asian fusion small plates that reflect his passion for diverse flavors and innovative cuisine. As part of the Cloud 9 family, Chef Prak is excited to share his unique culinary creations with guests, promising an unforgettable dining experience that blends his Cambodian heritage with modern culinary techniques.
